Where Children Come First

Upcoming Educational Assembly

Posted Date: 04/14/26 (11:09 AM)

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We would like to inform you that our students will participate in a special educational assembly in the afternoon on Thursday, April 16.
The program, “Stained-Glass Windows” presented by Matthew Bocchi, is designed for middle and high school students and is made possible through opioid settlement funding provided to the town.
The assembly begins with a short film sharing Mr. Bocchi’s personal story of loss, trauma, addiction, and ultimately his journey to sobriety. Using the metaphor of stained-glass windows—where broken pieces come together to create something meaningful and beautiful—Mr. Bocchi demonstrates how life’s challenges can become a foundation for strength, resilience, and purpose.
Through thoughtful and age-appropriate storytelling, the presentation addresses topics relevant to today’s students, including substance use, vaping, self-harm, and gambling. The program encourages students to face adversity with courage, develop resilience, and recognize that healing, growth, and hope are always possible.
Our goal is to provide students with meaningful opportunities to build awareness, strengthen decision-making skills, and support their overall well-being.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school.
